Anthropic provides the large language model (LLM) that powers OneSim's AI-driven simulation conversations. OneSim uses Anthropic's Claude model family under a commercial API agreement.

ElevenLabs, Inc.

ElevenLabs provides AI-powered text-to-speech voice synthesis for the AI Patient Simulator. The text of each AI-generated response is sent to ElevenLabs to produce a realistic spoken voice. This applies to authenticated simulation sessions as well as the public demo experience.

Which Features Use AI

The following table identifies which OneSim features use third-party AI services and which provider is responsible for each:

Data Handling

When a simulation conversation is active, the text of user messages and AI responses is transmitted to Anthropic's API for model inference. OneSim operates under Anthropic's commercial API terms, which govern how Anthropic handles API request data. OneSim does not transmit personally identifiable information about real individuals to Anthropic; all patient profiles used in simulations are fictional and created for educational purposes only.
